Samita is a Senior Director within Alvarez & Marsal’s Privacy & Data Compliance with over a decade of experience specializing in designing and implementing complex privacy compliance programs and developing business-focused solutions to manage privacy, data and AI risk. With a unique and strong technical background in both Computer Science and Law, she has led numerous multi-year international privacy change programs and continues to advise major global companies on complex technical and strategic privacy matters across the U.S., Europe, Asia and the Middle East. Samita’s expertise lies developing scalable privacy compliance and AI governance solutions tailored to a company’s regulatory risk profile, privacy maturity, and business objectives. Over the years, she has become a trusted advisor to multinational clients across diverse industries, including technology, media and entertainment, telecommunications, travel and hospitality, life sciences, retail and financial services.

Prior to joining A&M, Ms. Patel spent more than seven years in the Global Privacy & Data Protection consulting practice at Promontory (now an IBM Company).

Samita holds a BSc in computer science with management from King’s College London and earned a graduate diploma in law (GDL) and legal practice course (LPC) at BPP Law School, London. She is certified by the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) with the CIPM (Privacy Manager), CIPT (Privacy Technologist) and CIPP/Europe designations and served as the co-chair for the IAPP London chapter.
