Emma Johnson
Emma joined Standard Chartered Bank 10 years ago and has held various roles in Legal, Compliance and Technology, working on Regulatory and Investigative matters.
She is now part of the Group Chief Data Office, as Head of Responsible Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Data Ethics, combining a deep knowledge and experience in governance with a passion for ethical implementation.
Emma leads collaboration with interdisciplinary teams, driving global conversations about the future of AI and ethical data usage and the role it plays in society.
Outside of her BAU role she is a passionate Diversity and Inclusion advocate with a focus on Disability and Children. She is a member of the Banks UAE D&I council and Group Technology, Transformation and Operations D&I Council.
Emma is a Certified Data Ethics professional (Open Data institute), a Certified Data Management Capability Assessment Model (EDM Council), an EDM council Certified Data Steward (CDS) certification.
