Daniel Patterson is a certified data protection officer (CDPO) and an accomplished privacy professional with expertise in enterprise risk management, specialising in compliance, operational risk, and data privacy for local and international organisations in Qatar, Ireland, Spain, and the Netherlands.

As Data Protection Commissioner at the Qatar Financial Centre (QFC) Data Protection Office (DPO), Daniel leads oversight, advisory, and enforcement activities, ensuring firms adhere to regulations and safeguarding the rights and legitimate interests of data subjects.

Daniel has served as the EU Data Protection Officer for a leading Irish life assurance company and a global payments firm. He holds CIPP/E and CIPM certifications and is a Fellow of Information Privacy (FIP) with the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP).
